This Privacy Policy describes what information Icognix Seller Network collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. Your privacy matters and we keep data handling as transparent as we can.
1. Information We Collect
When you create an account or use the Platform, we collect your name, email address, role (affiliate, seller, or brand), and profile details you choose to provide. We also collect performance data — clicks, conversions, and payouts — for the tracked links you generate.
2. How We Use Information
We use your information to operate the Platform, calculate and pay your commissions, surface brands and products you’re approved for, respond to your requests, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Sharing of Information
We share data with upstream affiliate networks (such as Amazon’s associate program) to attribute clicks and sales to your account. We share aggregated, non-personally-identifiable analytics with brand partners. We may disclose data when required by law.
4. Cookies and Tracking
The Platform uses essential cookies for authentication (your session token) and analytics cookies to understand how the product is used. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser; doing so may limit functionality.
5. Data Security
We protect your data with industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. API keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. We do not store your password in plaintext — only a salted bcrypt hash.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Contact privacy@icognix.net to exercise these rights. Some data must be retained for tax and audit purposes after account closure.
7. Data Retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active, plus up to seven years for financial and tax compliance after closure. Tracking and performance data is retained for as long as it’s useful for reporting and reconciliation.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Platform is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform. Your continued use after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
