Steps to set up Belkin Router manually

Belkin routers can be installed without using the setup CD also. One can set up the router manually using the web-based step up page of the router. Follow the below steps by Belkin Support team.

Power cycling the modem and router:

Step 1:

Unplug the modem and router from the power source.

Step 2:

Connect the Ethernet cable from the modem to the WAN or Internet port of the router.

Step 3:

Power ON your modem first, then your router by plugging them back to the power source.

Manually setting up your router:

Step 1:

Connect the computer to one (1) of the Ethernet ports of the router.

Step 2:

Launch a web browser and enter the router’s IP address in the Address bar.

NOTE:  The default IP address of the Belkin routers is 192.168.2.1.

Step 3:

Click Login.

Step 4:

Leave the Password field blank and click Submit.

Step 5:

Under Internet WAN, click Connection Type

Step 6:

Select your Connection Type and click Next.

*NOTE:  If you don’t know your Connection Type, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Step 7:

Enter the details provided by your ISP and click APPLY CHANGES.
