1. Transfer your music files to your external USB hard drive.
2. Connect your external USB hard drive to your Nighthawk router.
3. Wait for the USB LED on the router to turn on.
4. Connect your iOS device to your wireless network.
5. Launch the Remote app.
6. Note: The Remote app is available from the Apple App Store.
7. Tap Add a Device
8. Get the 4-digit passcode
9. On your computer, open an internet browser such as Safari, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome
10. Type http://www.routerlogin.com or http://www.routerlogin.net in the address bar
11. Enter the default username: admin and the default password: password
12. NETGEAR genie displays. Click ADVANCED > USB Functions > ReadySHARE Storage
13. Click Media Server and select Enable iTunes Server (Music Only)
14. Enter the 4-digit passcode you acquired from the Remote app earlier and click Allow Control
15. Click Apply to save the settings
16. You can now play songs saved on your external USB hard drive from the Remote app
