Steps to set up Belkin Router manually
Belkin routers can be installed without using the setup CD also. One can set up the router manually using the web-based step up page of the router. Follow the below steps by Belkin Router Support team.
Power cycling the modem and router:
Unplug the modem and router from the power source.
Connect the Ethernet cable from the modem to the WAN or Internet port of the router.
Power ON your modem first, then your router by plugging them back to the power source.
Manually setting up your router:
Connect the computer to one (1) of the Ethernet ports of the router.
Launch a web browser and enter the router’s IP address in the Address bar.
NOTE: The default IP address of the Belkin routers is 192.168.2.1.
Leave the Password field blank and click Submit.
Under Internet WAN, click Connection Type
Select your Connection Type and click Next.
*NOTE: If you don’t know your Connection Type, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
Enter the details provided by your ISP and click APPLY CHANGES.
After following the above steps, now you should be able to connect to the internet. How to know whether you are connected? See if the Internet Status on the upper right corner is showing Connected. If yes, then congratulations! Your work is done!
