To make a backup of your router’s configuration, follow steps below:
- Open a web browser from the computer which is connected to the router.
- Enter the IP address of the router. The default IP address of the router is 192.168.0.1.
- Enter the username and password when prompted.
- Go to TOOLS > SYSTEM.
- Under SAVE AND RESTORE SETTINGS section, click on Save Configuration button to create a backup of the router’s present configuration in your computer.
The backup is now created. You can keep it anywhere you like. You can use this file to restore the settings of your router. To restore your router’s settings, click on Restore Configuration from File button and locate the backup file in your computer, the default name of the backup file should be config.bin.
